Manufacturing Training Coordinator

Job Description:

About the Role: We are looking for a Manufacturing Training Leader to join our Training team who will provide subject matter expertise supporting our training efforts and provide people leadership for Training Professionals. This Leader will be responsible for ensuring the design and delivery of effective learning methodologies that support Medical manufacturing operations.

This position will be located at our facility in Phoenix, Arizona.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a comprehensive training program: provide people leadership and direction for Training Champions and support for process trainers
  • Work with local Manufacturing Leadership teams to drive the direction and effectiveness of divisional manufacturing training, and to continuously improve and sustain a training organization/program
  • Coordinate and participate in the selection of Training Champions and Process Trainers
  • Develop and monitor metrics for training including quality, throughput (time to train), training requirements and records retention
  • Work with Training Leaders, Training Champions, and Process Trainers to ensure execution of training initiatives that drive toward mutually beneficial divisional training standards including Job Instruction (JI) training methods
  • Align with supply chain operations, training efforts and Enterprise initiatives to understand overall business needs and how it impacts training
  • Establish and prioritize needed training improvements within product lines; develop manufacturing training curriculum and facilitate "train the trainer" classes (1:1 or group setting)
  • Work across shifts, facilities, teams, and at times, hands-on to gain an understanding of the manufacturing processes and current training methods
  • Ensure training documentation is maintained; utilize eLearn per quality system requirements, provide training support in regulatory audits, and maintain compliance with training expectations as required for this position
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required within the scope of position

    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in business management, education or training related field
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching/training others
    • Experience in facilitating and influencing diverse groups to work collaboratively towards common goals
    • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
    • Hands-on knowledge of and experience working within quality assurance systems (cGMP, ISO)
    • Facilitation, organization, and problem-solving skills
    • Time-management, prioritization skills, and a track record of being proactive and taking initiative
    • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to identify, develop and implement continuous improvement efforts
    • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time

      Desired Qualifications:
      • Bachelors degree in business management, education or training related field
      • Demonstrated experience in project management
      • Experience managing or leading others
